Welcome to Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park

Step into history at Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park! This 150-acre park showcases the remnants of a once-thriving sugar plantation in East Florida. The Bulow family cultivated sugar cane, cotton, rice, and indigo until the tumultuous events of the Second Seminole War in 1836. Today, visitors can explore the sugar mill ruins, the spring house, wells, and the foundation of the plantation house and slave cabins along a picturesque trail. Enjoy a leisurely picnic, visit the interpretive center to learn more about the plantation’s story, and take a boat out on scenic Bulow Creek, a designated state canoe trail. Whether you’re fishing, hiking, or simply soaking up the rich history, Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park offers a unique glimpse into Florida’s past.
