Step into the natural beauty of Baseline Road Trailhead where two distinct trails invite adventurers to explore. Whether you choose the urban paved path or the secluded multi-use trail, you’ll find a unique experience awaiting you. The Baseline Road Trailhead boasts a 5-mile, paved multi-use trail winding through restored longleaf pine and sandhill pastures. Managed by Marion County Parks and Recreation, this trailhead offers convenient parking and amenities, including a Boundless Playground courtesy of the Felburn Foundation. At Marshall Swamp trailhead, adjacent to the Cross Florida Greenway’s Sharpe’s Ferry Office, nature enthusiasts can access the Marshall Swamp trail. This unpaved trail meanders nearly 3 miles through the lush floodplain of the Ocklawaha and Silver rivers, providing a glimpse into the jungle-like beauty of the area.
