Located at Letchworth-Love Mounds Archaeological State Park, visitors can explore an ancient site showcasing Florida’s tallest Native American ceremonial mound, constructed between 1,100 and 1,800 years ago. Standing at 51 feet tall, this mound is a testament to the Swift Creek Culture, a group of Native Americans inhabiting North Florida from 200 to 450 A.D.
Encompassing diverse activities such as picnicking, birding, and hiking, the park boasts an interpretive trail that commences at the base of the ceremonial mound and meanders past several smaller mounds.
For the convenience of all visitors, the park provides wheelchair-accessible facilities at the picnic area and a platform viewing spot for the mound. Those seeking a deeper insight can opt for guided tours available upon request.
