Welcome to Felburn Park

Discover the wonders of Felburn Park, a charming natural oasis sprawled across 140 acres of land. This picturesque park, nestled snugly beside the Cross Florida Barge Canal just off U.S. 19, is a true gem leased by the state of Florida from the esteemed Felburn Foundation. Embrace the essence of nature as you wander along paved paths, enjoying the serene surroundings and the gentle breeze that whispers through the trees.

Venture westwards along the Withlacoochee Bay trail from Felburn Park and find yourself amidst several multi-use platforms, perfect for picnicking, fishing, or simply unwinding in the beauty of the barge canal. The trail stretches for 5 miles, leading you to a scenic-overlook pavilion where the barge canal meets the mighty Gulf of Mexico. To the east lies a newer paved segment, guiding you past Phil’s Lake – a shimmering freshwater haven named in honor of Phil Felburn, the visionary behind the Felburn Foundation.

Traverse the trail to witness nature at its finest as you tread upon the berm created by the canal’s construction. A journey of 1.25 miles east of Felburn Park reveals the remnants of the old Withlacoochee River channel, offering a glimpse into the area’s rich history. Explore the mowed grass and natural trails encircling the former lime-rock mining pit, now transformed into the tranquil Phil’s Lake. Paddle through its pristine waters, try your luck at fishing, or simply bask in the serenity that surrounds you.

Embrace the allure of Felburn Park, where every step unveils a new adventure and every vista beckons you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the great outdoors.
